Licensure

Simmons University’s MSN and RN to MSN programs prepare licensed Registered Nurses (RNs) for practice as a family nurse practitioner with the skills and credentials to treat patients and families across the life span.

Nursing@Simmons programs fulfill the academic eligibility requirements for Massachusetts state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner.  However, requirements for nurse licensure can vary by state.  Prospective and current students are encouraged to research the requirements for licensure specific to their current or intended state of residence/practice as a nurse practitioner to ensure that our program meets their state licensure requirements.
