Simmons University is accredited by the New England Commission on Higher Education (NECHE) and by national and regional discipline-specific agencies in the health care field.

The baccalaureate, master’s and DNP programs at Simmons are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) is a national accrediting agency that ensures the quality of nursing programs.

The FNP and RN to MSN programs are accredited through 2019 by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), a national accrediting agency that ensures the quality of nursing programs.

As per CCNE guidance, Simmons has submitted a substantive change report for the online modality of the Post-MSN to DNP program within the prescribed window of no more than 90 days before and no later than 90 days after the start of classes. The DNP degree program offered on-campus is already accredited by CCNE through 2025.
